Production Module

Production visibility for both POP and Shop Floor Control — shortages, schedule, aging, exceptions and reported production.

What it does

The Production module works with both Macola® production methods — Production Order Processing (POP) and Shop Floor Control (SFC) — and keeps the plant's real state on screen: which orders have component shortages, what is scheduled week by week, where the backlog dollars sit, and which orders need attention before they slip.

Capabilities

  • Components Causing Shortages — production orders due in the next X days that cannot be built as planned
  • Production Schedule — week-by-week view of the next 12 weeks, with drill-down into each order; copy the screen per product line
  • Production Aging — dollar value and quantity of backlog and in-process orders in user-defined weekly and monthly categories
  • Production Order Exceptions — orders not released, and orders completed but not closed
  • Orders to be Completed — past-due orders plus this week's completions, optionally including unreleased and dependent orders
  • Reported Production — recently reported production, and orders ready to set complete
  • Modify Macola® POP orders — change due dates and report production without leaving Pulse
  • Shop Floor Detail View (SFC) — planned vs. actual cost, quantity and hours for every operation, material and outside process of each shop order

Highlights

Shortages with the full story

The shortages screen nets the components needed for upcoming production against every replenishment. In the brochure's example, 192 frames are needed for past-due orders; the drill-down reveals eight pending production orders and two purchase orders that would satisfy the demand — arriving too late to meet the production due dates. That is exactly the kind of problem you want to see this week, not next month.

Planning by dollars, not just dates

Production Aging shows the inventory dollars required to complete in-process and upcoming orders, bucketed into aging categories you define — a production view your cash-flow planning can use directly.
